On 25 May 2017, UUMIT received a visit from UUM Board of Directors (LPU), Mr. Saifubahrim Mohd Salleh. He has toured around UUMIT to see the facilities available here.

UUMIT Director, Mr. Kamarudin Abdullah has been honoured to receive the Anugerah Penjawat Cemerlang 2016 that was held in conjunction with the Innovation Day and University Awards Ceremony (HIMPU 2017) in Dewan Mu'adzam Shah on May 24, 2017.

The second session for Webmaster Skills Enhancement Course 2017 was held for 3 days from 16 to 18 May 2017 at the Executive Lab, TISSA Building , UUM.
